Would you think of a sports company as high-tech? Not many people do but i9 Sports has something that their franchisees can’t live without called Franchise Manager. It’s a homegrown software that was created all in-house. The software, also a mobile app, helps franchisees track registrations, rosters and schedules. “There’s nothing else like it,” says i9 Sports President and CEO Brian Sanders.
Another facet to this system is that it’s smart enough to know the territory people are calling about when they dial into the Tampa call center. The goal behind this is to give a local presence to the customer and it works because the customer assumes they’re talking to someone down the street.
“Any organization can grow by opening new locations,” Sanders says, “but the real test of the health of the organization is if the current locations are growing.” For now, the priority is to focus on ways to make the business, and its systems, easy to operate and efficient.
